Project Censored - 11th Anniversary - 09/11/12

Today we bring you our 9/11 11th Anniversary Program: 9/11, Conspiracy Theory, and State Crimes Against Democracy. Joining us for the hour will be authors and professors James F. Tracy and Lance deHaven Smith. At the bottom of the hour, Project Censored intern Kimberly Soeiro reads excerpts of letters published by the Journal of 9/11 Studies from thoughtful people who have reflected on the tragic events of that day, and we end today’s program hearing about the annual 9/11 Film Festival coming up next week at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland, CA.

The show closes out with Prof. Adam Bessie, contributor to the upcoming Censored 2013: Dispatches from the Media Revolution book, about his chapter G.E.R.M Warfare: How to Reclaim the Education Debate from Corporate Occupation and his recent work on a graphic novel on education published by Truthout.

Project Censored - Corporate Personhood - 08/03/12

Join Mickey Huff with special guest co-host Dr. Andy Lee Roth, associate director of Project Censored (Peter Phillips will be back next week). Today we discuss efforts to challenge corporate personhood and also the increased use of drones, especially in the targeting of civilians. Project Censored - Bohemian Grove - 07/13/12

A Bohemian Grove special. Peter Phillips, Mickey Huff and Andy Roth cover the history of the San Francisco Bohemian Club. We will interview Chieko Shiina an activist and organic farmer and Fukushima Nuclear Disaster Survivor visiting California sponsored by the No Nukes Action Committee. Chieko Shiina will be speaking at the Occupy Bohemian Grove protest July 14 regarding the Club's long association with Nuclear energy.  Also, we will be in conservation with Don Eichelberger on the history of the Bohemian Grove Action Network and his work with Abalone Alliance. Steve Zeltzer will present work-week radio and we will end the show with interviews of Occupy activists and their plans for the Bohemian Grove protest this Saturday in Monte Rio near the Bohemian Grove in Sonoma County.  We round out the show talking to filmmakers Doug Hecker and Chris Oscar of Hole in the Media Productions.

We will have a live update by Michael Levitin from the Occupy Caravan meetings in Philadelphia and  at the bottom of the hour we’ll hear Work Week Radio with Steve Zeltzer. Durng the 2^nd half of the program we will interview Sara Flounders Co-coordinator of the International Action Center regarding U.S. imperialism’s latest threats of war against Syria and Iran.

Today we speak to Dr Elaine Leeder author of My Life with Lifers: Lessons for a Teacher, Humanity has no Bars. Also Joining us in studio is Harrison Misioka Seuga former 21 year state prisoner released in 2010 and now finishing a college degree at SF State University. Then we interview Linda Evans with All of Us or None and Organizer at Legal Services for Prisoners with Children. She is a former political prisoner whose sentence was commuted by President Clinton on January 20, 2001.

Today we have a conversation with Richard Becker, the Western Region Coordinator of the ANSWER Coalition, (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) We will address the question—Who are the  Global One-Percent Ruling Class and how do they maintain power in the world? At the bottom of the hour we will hear from Steve Zeltzer of Work Week Radio. Then We will have a live update from Michael Levitin with the Occupy Caravan on the road in Alabama. We end up with an in-studio discussion:  Is NATO moving towards military action against Syria?
