Project Censored Show on KPFA, Pacifica Radio hosts Mickey Huff and Peter Phillips talk religion and social justice with Dr. Matthew Fox, author most recently of Letters to Pope Francis: Rebuilding a Church with Justice and Compassion; near the bottom of the hour- censorship at PBS involving the new documentary Citizen Koch, which looks at the influential conservative billionaire Koch Brothers, award-winning filmmakers Carl Deal and Tia Lessin tell the story; and the show concludes with a discussion on the annual summer encampment of the San Francisco Bohemian Club now taking place on the Russian River in Northern California.

On the June 28 Project Censored Show on Pacifica Radio Mickey Huff and  Peter Phillips speak to Napoleon Gomez about his new book Collapse of Dignity: The Story of a Mining Tragedy and the Fight Against Greed and Corruption in Mexico. the show also carries  a special report from Tara Dorobji who recently spoke with author Mat Johnson about how writers of color are often locked out of the publishing world. They conclude the show with a conversation with surveillance state expert and philosophy professor Elliot Cohen about the ramifications of NSA leaker Edward Snowen, how the corporate media are missing the story about living in a full blown 1984.

On the Project Censored Show, KPFA Pacifica Radio, hosts Mickey Huff and Peter Phillips interview author Dr. Paul Palmer on Zero Waste and offer solutions to the growing problems of waste management and recycling programs. During the second half of the show they interview  journalist and activist Sunsara Taylor of StopPatriachy.org who talks about radical feminism, recent censorship on women's rights issues (especially concerning abortion rights), and  radically transforming a patriarchal world by addressing the overarching problems of capitalism and oppression.

Project Censored - 06/11/13

Mickey Huff in studio with Peter Phillips analyze the state of the free press and civil liberties in the US.  They kick things off with Sue Wilson, founder of the Media Action Center, about the private censorship of public airwaves and the FCC’s possible ruling deciding whether or not right wing radio is “bonafide” news; then legendary free press proponent and documentary filmmaker John Pilger joins in from London for commentary on the state of the free press as well as his latest film project; and they close out the show with Beau Hodai, author of the new study published by the Center for Media and Democracy, “Dissent or Terror: how the nation's counter terrorism apparatus, in partnership with corporate America, turned on Occupy Wall Street.”

Mickey Huff  and Peter Phillips visit the issue of the new poverty in the United States as they play excerpts from the movie Ain’t I A Person directed by Dr. Keith Kilty. From the film we will hear the voices of people trapped in poverty by expanding structural unemployment, continuing racism, and a deep seated 30 year attack on the social safety net in the US. We’ll also hear live in studio from sociology professor Sheila Katz on increases in urban poverty and the 50th anniversary of the War on Poverty.

Project Censored - Untold History - 05/14/13

Mickey Huff  and Peter Phillips revisit untold histories of the United States as they play excerpts from the Untold History event held at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland, CA in February with Oliver Stone, Peter Kuznick, and Daniel Ellsberg.  They also interview Laurel Krause just back from the 43^rd anniversary of the May 4^th Kent State Shootings where Oliver Stone was keynote speaker. They discuss the ongoing cover-up of that fateful event by federal, state, and university officials. Additionally, they hold a general discussion on the importance of untold history to an active democracy.

For the May 3 Project Censored Show on Pacifica Radio, Mickey Huff and Peter Phillips talk to film producer Jean-Philippe Tremblay regarding his new film Shadows of Liberty. Jean-Philippe Tremblay is London-based filmmaker originally from Quebec, who directed the film Shadows of Liberty, which had its U.S. premiere  at the National Conference for Media Reform in Denver.  The show includes segments of the film that offers a critique of corporate media’s practices of censorship and bias.

Mickey Huff  in studio with  Project Censored affiliate professor Nolan Higdon talks to Dr. Keith Kilty, professor eneritus at Ohio State College of Social Work, regarding poverty in America fifty years after the War on Poverty; then a  Project Censored Validated Independent News update concerning new attacks on academic freedom in TX at the bottom of the hour; and  return to the conversation on poverty with a focus on Northern CA with Ginny Browne and Marty Bennett; and Sarah van Gelder of YES!Magazine joins us for a looks at co-ops and gives us economic solutions to round out the show.

Project Censored Associate Director  Andy Roth Ph.D.  discusses the emerging evidence with health risks from cell phone and wireless radiation with Dr. Devra Davis, and electronics engineer Lloyd Morgan. During the 2^nd half of the program Roth talks to Dr. Keith Kilty, professor eneritus at  Ohio State College of Social Work, who has put a human face on poverty in his eye-opening documentary, Ain’t I A Person. Roth also interviews Carl Patrick and Ruth Bird activists with the Sonoma County Solidarity Network who has been working with long term residents in Hotel Petaluma who are being forced out by a new Marin County landlord.
